Salary based on experience

Minimum Education: Bachelor's or graduate degree in a business or technical area or appropriate specialized field of study.  Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 8 years of substantial and progressive experience demonstrating proficiency in managing and conducting large scale projects (NOAA experience preferred).

Functional Responsibility:

·        Provides expert project management support for large scale, enterprise-wide projects.

·        Responsible for operational support of projects and initiatives by performing analysis, problem solving, recommending organizational improvements, coordinating activities, documenting results, and communicating to appropriate stakeholders.

·        Facilitates and provides guidance to cross team project workgroups to support major NOAA projects and initiatives.

·        Tasks include but are not limited to developing, updating, and maintaining detailed project plans and related project documentation; identification of business process improvements; coordinating all aspects of the project among stakeholders; monitoring and providing briefings on project status; and identification of risks and development of associated mitigation strategies.
